Ossuary

Stem Tracks:

Synths: Crystal by Green Oak, TAL Noisemaker

Guitar: Prepared acoustic guitar

Rain: Recorded using a Zoom H4N

This piece was assembled from the bones of a couple of other pieces I was working on that were never finished. The guitar was a lot of fun to record, it was made by preparing an acoustic guitarĀ  with metal rods and blu tack placed at node points along each string. The guitar was fitted with mix of electric and acoustic guitar strings and played using a coin as a plectrum.

The rain was recorded sometime in May 2014 be placing the recorder directly under a plastic corrugated roof. This track was duplicated and fed through several reverbs in series to create a harsh drone which is present throughout the piece. The synth track was pieced together from two takes which were intended for separate pieces.
